Inauguration
The Academy was inaugurated on Sunday, 4th November 2012 at Sri  Krishnadevaraya Kalamandira, Telugu Vidya Niketan, Behind Chowdaiah Memorial Hall, Vyalikaval, Bangalore.

The function started at 4PM sharp with a Hindustani Vocal Concert by Pt. Ravindra Soragavi, who was accompanied by Pt. Satish Kolli on Harmonium and Pt.  Gurumurthy Vaidya on Tabala.

This was followed by the Inauguration at 5PM with a melodious invocation by Malavika, Ramita, Lakshmi and Nityashree. After the Lamp was lighted by the distinguished guests on the dais, the President of the Academy Dr. PADMANABHA RAO B R welcomed the guests and the gathering. Sri UMAPATHI RAJU.P, Chairman of the Academy honoured the guests on the dais. Sri. B. K. ANANTHARAM, Vice President of the Academy gave a brief note about the Academy. This was followed by an address by the Chief Guest Dr. ASHWATHNARAYAN.C.N., Hon’ble MLA, Malleswaram,Bangalore. Padmabhushana Sangeetha Kalanidhi Dr. R.K.SRIKANTAN, Renowned Senior Karnatik Classical Music Vocalist, gave a meaningful advice and blessed the Academy by wishing it all success in its endeavours. Sri. P.SHYAMA  RAJU, who is the Chairman & MD of Divyashree Developers gave his address. This was followed by the Presidential Address by Sangeeta Kalaratna Prof. MYSORE. V. SUBRAMANYA, Renowned Senior Musicologist, Music and Dance Critic. The Vote of Thanks was extended by the Managing Trustee, Sri. HIREMAGALURU PRADEEP.

With a coffee break for ten minutes, all the members came back for the Karnatik Classical Vocal Concert by GANAKALASHREE VIDUSHI M.S. SHEELA who was accompanied by Vidushi Nalina Mohan on Violin, Vidwan Chaluvaraj on Mridanga and Vidwan T N Ramesh on ghata. Curtains were drawn around 8 PM. All the people thoroughly enjoyed the function and the concerts and wished the Academy a very bright future.

 
 
2) 12 Jan 2013
Sugama Sangeetha by Sri Yashwanth Halibandi & Party.
 

The Program commenced at 6:00 PM sharp on the day with the arrival of the Chief Guest, the renowned Hindustani & Light Music Vocalist, ‘Ubhayagana Vidushi Dr. Shyamala G Bhave’ .

Dr. B R Padmanabha Rao, the President of the Academy welcomed the Chief Guest and the gathering.

Dr. Shyamala G Bhave, later addressed the gathering and congratulated the Academy for taking up the task of organizing such music programs and wished the function grand success.

Immediately thereafter, the music program by Sri Yashwanth Halibandi and troupe started with a Naada Geethe- Jaya bharatha Jananiya tanujathe with the tune composed by himself.

The other artistes accompanying Sri Halibandi were Smt. Prabha Inamdar, Kum. Dhyuthi Sanjeev, Smt. Jayashree Sanjeev and Kum. Snigda. He was supported on the Keyboard by Sri. Navneeth, Sri Preetam Halibandi on Tabala and Sri. Praveen on Rhythm pads.

Dr. B R Padmanabha Rao proposed the vote of thanks and announced the future programs. The audience enjoyed all the songs and left  the venue happily relishing the songs with happy memories.
