1) REPORT OF GIANTS SILVER JUBILEE PROGRAM PARTICIPATED BY SUGAMA SANGEETHA STUDENTS OF POORVI, 

FOR 2022-23, HELD  ON FRIDAY 16th  SEPT  2022 AT GANDHI SAHITYA SANGHA, 8TH CROSS  MALLESWARAM, BANGALORE-03

Giants International as a year long celebration of its Silver Jubilee had organized a Sugama Sangeetha program which was conducted by Sugama sangeetha students of Poorvi Sangeeth Academy under the leadership of Hiremagaluru Pradeep and Pratibha Nandan, on Friday 16th Sept 2022 at GANDHI SAHITYA SANGHA, 8th cross, Malleswaram, Bangalore-03.

The event commenced at 5PM sharp with light Tea/coffee refreshments. The students of Sugama Sangeetha colourfully attired had arrived in time with great enthusiasm to participate in the program.

With a warm welcome by Sri. M K Krishna, the program started off with kannada bhavageethe, janapadageethe and bhakti geethe by groups, duets and solo performances.

Srinivas on keyboard Tumkur Mohan on Tabla gave a valuable support to the performers.

The whole event concluded successfully by 8.00 PM with a dinner.

2) REPORT OF 8TH JAGADODHARANA HELD ON SUNDAY 20th  NOV  2022 AT DODDAMALOORU, CHANNAPATTANA TALUK

Poorvi Sangeeth Academy jointly with Jai SriKrishna Charitable Trust, recently organized the 8th JAGADODHARANA outbound Purandara music festival on Sunday 20th Nov 2022 at Doddamalooru, Channapattana taluk.

The event commenced at 9AM sharp with a procession of Pillari geethe and Devaranama group singing in temple street  by all the Artists, students, parents and faculty members.

After completing the procession, all assembled in the program venue in front of the temple which was arranged inside the Temple – car gopura which had a beautiful stage. With a warm welcome by the compering artist, M K Krishna, the program started off with various artists performing in a chain one after another. The artists and various groups that performed were :-

1. Flute recital in group by students of Vamshi Academy.

2. Vocal by Karnatic Vocal students of Poorvi followed by their respective teachers, viz., Vid. Rekha Prasad and Vid. Rekha Harinath.

3. This was followed by a Jugalbandi dance of Kathak and Bharatanatya to the recorded song of Venkatachala nilayam.

4. Flute recital by Vid B K Anantharam- V.P of Poorvi sangeeth academy.

5. Vocal by Vid. P Ramaa – the main invited artist.

6. Vocal by Sugama Sangeetha Students of Poorvi.

7. Keyboard performance of Purandaradasa devaranamas  by Yashas D Barguru, Sai Skanda Simha, Lavanaya and Samarth H S – all students of Poorvi .

8. Flute recital by Vid. B K Anantharam.

9. Sugama sangeetha students of Poorvi sang two devaranamas.

10. Vocal by Shivakumar P – Trustee of Poorvi.

11. Vocal by Padmanabhan – Retd. Director of IISc, Bangalore.

12. Bharatanatya by Dance students of Poorvi & teacher Vid. Nivedita Sharma.

Arati was performed later and prasada was distributed to all. Later after a sumptuous lunch, all departed back to Bangalore.

The curtains drew after a wonderful presentation which kept the audience tapping to the lilting tunes and lyrics. The program was well attended. The audience enjoyed the music and the whole event thoroughly and dispersed to their homes with a promise to return for the next forthcoming event in 2023.

3) REPORT OF 10th  ANNIVERSARY PROGRAM ON SUNDAY FOR 2022-23, HELD ON 27th  NOV  2022 AT SEVA SADAN, 14TH CROSS,

                                                                          MALLESWARAM, BANGALORE-03

 

Poorvi Sangeeth Academy recently organized the 10th  Anniversary  program of Poorvi Sangeeth Academy on Sunday 27th Nov 2022 at SEVA SADAN, 14th cross, Malleswaram, Bangalore-03.

This year too due to the Covid effect lingering still, the event was held in a modest way, with a total in-house presentation by the Trustees, Faculty and Students of Poorvi.

The event commenced at 9AM sharp with the students, parents, Trustees and faculty members having arrived with great enthusiasm on the day at Seva Sadan to attend & participate in the 10th anniversary program.

With a warm welcome by the compering artist, Sri. Lingesh Hunsuru, the program started off with various groups performing in a chain one after another. The groups were trained by their teachers vigorously. The groups that performed in order of sequence were :-
