Events of 2023-24
Poorvi Sangeeth Academy recently organized 9th JAGADODDHARNA Haridasara Sangeethothsava on Saturday 07th October 2023 at SEVA SADAN, 14th cross, Malleswaram, Bangalore-03.
The event commenced at 09:30 AM with a formal Lamp Lighting by the Trustees, and Artists present.
Sri VIjaykumar Bhartur, who was compering welcomed the gathering and welcomed the artists one by one to come and perform on the stage.
The first category was singing Dasarapada in Hindustani style. The artists who performed were Vanishree Dhanvantri jointly with Vaishali Deshpande, Anitha Hegde, Sangeetha Bhatkal and Raghunandan Sriram. They were ably accompanied on Harmonium by Sangeetha Bhatkal and Laxminarayan Hegde on Tabla.
The second category was singing in Haridasara devaranamas in Karnatic style. The artists who performed were Vamshi academy students on flute, Rekha Prasad, H N Meera, Shivakumar Padmanabhan, B S Anand, and B K Anantha Ram on flute. They were ably accompanied by Sanjeev Kumar on Violin, B S Anand on Mrudanga and Shivakumar Padmanabhan on Mrudanga.
The third category was singing Dasarapada in Sugama Sangeetha Style. The artists who performed were Ganesh Desai, Prabha Inamdar, Aparna Prasanna, Vijay Havanur, and Harish Narasimha. They were ably accompanied by Ganesh Desai on Harmonium, Srinivas on Keyboard and Raghavendra Joshi on Tabla.
Lastly Nivedita Sharma along with her daughter Sahitya performed a bharatanatya dance to the famous Krishna nee begane baaro krithi, which set a grand finale to the entire event.
All the artists were honoured with a bouquet and a momento by eminent artists and organizers on invitation to the stage. The momentos were donated by M K Krishna, Trustee of Poorvi Sangeeth Academy.
With a vote of thanks the curtains were drawn for the day. All the gathering left the auditorium with a feeling of happiness after listening to the divine music concert, and also the sumptuous lunch provided. On the whole, the entire event went off successfully.
