Events of 2024-25: Poorvi Students' Annual Day on 6th Oct 2024
The much awaited performance by the students of Poorvi Sangeeth Academy for the Students' Annual Day commenced sharp at 3:30 PM with a warm welcome extended by Compereing Artist Smt. Poornima Ravi.
After a brisk invocation by students of Karnatic Vocal, viz., Lakshmi K S, Anuradha B P, Kamala Nanda kumar, and Shobha Nadig, the program took off and the following groups gave their best performance:
- Following students of Sugama Sangeetha Batch 1, viz., Bharathi, Gayathridevi, Jayanthi N, Madhavi N Rao, Mamatha Shankar, Nagamani V, R M Lalitha, Shamsundar H R, Sumithra N Murthy, sushama H R and Vani Punekar. under the tutelage of Vid. Pratibha Nandan sang the songs (a) Sundaragolisalu, and (b) Yelu chinna.
- Following students of Sugama Sangeetha Batch 2, viz., Anupama Seetharam, Keshavaraju, Malavika, Naveen Kumar, Rupa, Savitha G S, Sowmya D and Sushmita, under the tutelage of Vid. Hiremagaluru Pradeep sange the songs (a) Korike (Huttigondu taana) and (b) Hingadre henge swami kannada uddara.
- Following students of Karnatic vocal batch 1, viz., Snigdha, Adya, Jahnavi, Rithanya, Abhiram, Murali Krishna, Kamala Nanda kumar, Lakshmi K S, Shobha Nadig and Anuradha B P, under the tutelage of Vid. Rekha Prasad, sang the songs (a) Vande meenakshi, (b) Ramachandram Raajeevaksham, and (c) Kamakshi pahimam.
- Following students of Karnatic vocal batch 2, viz., Mahathi Harish, Bhoomika P, Sahishnu P, Subhiksha P Kashyap, Samarth Rao, dhatri S Navile, Archishma Kuravi, Arabhi Srivatsa, Stuthi S, Tanisha Rao, Saanvi S Bhat, Medha Athreyan, Dharithri K V, Arjun D H, Raghavi S, Aditi Avadhani, Ruthika Gowri, Meghana Shree and Ramy Sri, under the tutelage of Vid. Rekha Harinath sang the songs (a) Nottu swaras, (b) Ananta Roopi Krishna Baaro, (c) Kala harana melara and (d) Rama seetha rama rama.
- Following students of Hindustani vocal, viz., Vishnu, Aditi Kashyap and Hitaishri, under the tutelage of Vid. Sangeetha Bhatkal sang the following songs (a) Raag Brindavani Sarang madhyalay, and (b) Raag Bhimpalasi in tritaal chotakhayal.
- Following students of Karnatic violin, viz., Laasya Srivatsa, Likhith Srivatsa, Jayashree B and Aditya B, under the tutelage of Vid. Shashidhar S presented the following krithis (a) Swarjathi in Raga Bilhari, and (b) Brocheva revarura in Kamach raga.
- Following students of keyboard, viz., Omkar, Sai skanda, Joshua, Sparsha, Nihal, Sumedha, Siri S, Abhinav jois, Lavanya, S Venkatesh, Abhinav, Aarnav and Triveni, under the tutelage of H Pradeep rendered the following songs (a) Jingle bells, (b) Saare jahaan se acha, (c) Innashtu bekenna hrudayakke rama, and (d) Come September.
- Following students of Guitar, viz., Hruday Urs, Aayush Birje, Nayana, Suresh, Spoorthi, Advik, Navneet Srivatsa, and Shashaank, under the tutelage of M R Shivakumara swamy presented the following songs (a) Achutham keshavam, (b) Bombe helutaite, (c) Azhagiya theeya, (d) Mere bheegi bheegisi, (e) Pukarata chala hoon main, (f) The Good, Bad and the Ugly, and (f) Vasegara.
- The following students of Bharatanatya, viz., Medha, Anvi, Sanvi R, Tanisha, Sanvi, Roopashree, Aarna, Rishika, Vihaana, Harinika, Snigdha, Namitha, Akruthi, Chinthana, Janani, Lahari, Rukshi, Ananya, Aditi, Sudeshna, Arushi, Rimjhim, Aarohi, Dishita, Nandita, Deeksha, Nithila sri, Taarini, Aditi, Abhijna, Sindhu, Suparna and Drithi, under the tutelage of Vid. Nivedita Sharma presented dance to the following songs (a) Shlokas, (b) Bho Shambho shiva shambo, (c) Vachana- Holeva kenjedegala, (d) Kunidaadu krishna, and (e) Shree Chamundeshwari.
All the above performances were par excellence with the credit going to students, teachers and parents.
In between these presentations, a Sabha program took place wherein the Chief guest, Smt.Jyothi Raghuram ( Journalist and Art Critic), and Guest of Honor Sri Bhashyam Chakravarthi (Secretary- Malleswara Sangeetha Sabha), gave their speeches and momentos to the Faculty members, office staff and Poorvi Trustees.
The guests in their address were all praise for the students and the organizers apart from the teachers and parents.
The whole program was a great success, which went on right from morning 9:30 AM to 8:00 PM.
